A rainy 8th inning at Coca-Cola Park as the IronPigs take on the Scranton RailRiders.

It was a soggy Thursday night (6/13/2013) at the ballpark as the IronPigs took on — and defeated — the Scranton RailRiders. It was cloudy and cold for much of the game, leading to steady-but-light rain in the 7th.

The rain didn’t stop, and neither did the IronPigs who ultimately won 4-2 with two home runs (both of which pelted the Pig Trough).

The cold didn’t keep away the crowds and even with the threat if rain there were more than 8,000 in attendance. It was a striking contrast to the Syracuse Chiefs game — that was a beautiful Sunday after noon and I’d be surprised if there were half that number.
